| Notes: | This federally funded project will construct a new airport facility 1.5 miles northwest of the community of Akiachak. This project will construct a new gravel runway with safety area, taxiway, apron and 1.4 miles of access road. It will also include two single bay snow removal equipment buildings and installation of medium intensity runway and taxiway lighting, lighted wind cone and segmented circle. Embankments for the AWOS, PAPI and REILs will be constructed for the future systems. This project is to be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will require construction completion by February 1, 2011, for the items identified as NTP1 in GCP 80. Phase 2 will involve the completion of the items identified as NTP2. |
